The school yard is the place where students are sent at recess, break time and before or after school. Time spent in the schoolyard is particularly important because it meets the needs of students by allowing them to be outside, renew their energy, move around and play with their friends. It also helps them develop a physically active lifestyle and predisposes them to better learning. On top of this it protects various school assets and from animals making it breading ground. One such important asset is missing from Al-anwar secondary school which is one of the two secondary schools in Garbahary district (the district has a population close to 234,000) that hosts a large student community. The school has no yard and a store facility to secure if there may be an asset. Since it is an open area, the school asset are continually stolen, animals may enter the class room during teaching sessions and became an animal breeding ground during the night. In the morning, it is difficult to clean the animal droppings. In addition to this, the school front has become a passage for vehicles that many times caused accident and injured students. It is also accessible for anybody to come easily and harm the student or teachers. The Al-anwar community of teachers, parents, students and local authorities are appealing to support us build a school yard and store facility to make the school a secured and better learning environment where students, teachers and the school asset are protected. The fund will obviously go and will be directly managed by a committee composed of 20 members that will be responsible for efficient use of the funds.
